"Blue Skies, Smilin' At Me...Nothin' But Blue Skies, Do I See."
Humming that song as I make the coffee each morning here in sunny Florida. It's still chilly but that blue sky is like a dose of strong medicine. I can't help but smile back.
Spent most of yesterday visiting around the complex, catching up with our winter neighbors. One friend has been battling cancer for 4 years but you would never know it. She is always smiling, laughing and keeps everyone else in stitches with her wit. The rest of the bunch is well and already in gear for a winter of golf, beach, the pool and early bird specials. We joke about the latter but it's so reasonable to eat out here that it almost doesn't make sense to cook.
Today I vow to get out the sewing machine. That attempt yesterday was a failure. But one look at my etsy shop last night gave me the impetus to get moving and make some new aprons. I guess you'll find out tomorrow if I was successful!
